We know India is full of amazing facts and story. Each city in every state has some or the other fabulous and astonishing folks and fables. This story is about a temple called “Jagan nath temple” located in Kanpur District, Uttar Pradesh which is famous for its unique fact.
This temple can predict rainfall 7 days before the onset of actual rainfall. People say that water droplets could be visible on the roof of the temple 7 days before rain.
A week before the actual arrival of the Monsoon at Kanpur District, the “Grabha Griha” or the Inner hall where the “Jagaan Nath” Idol is placed, people can see water droplet fall on to them from the roof of the hall. Also the intensity of the rainfall could be predicted from the rate of water droplets falling from the roof. Once the rainfall start the roof dry up.
This prediction is very helpful for the local farmers as the region is totally dependent upon rain for irrigation.
The Archeological Society of India has tried to unlock the mystic fact of the temple from its architecture and surveys but, hard luck no one has yet been able to unlock the secret behind the phenomenon. Guess gods are not allowing us to do so.
